Today the combined hit total on all my blog sites went over a quarter of a million. Yep...in 6 months, 250,000 hits. I have posted over 500 entries on Dull Tool Dim Bulb alone. So I am HUMBLED. I'm also broke, but at least now I'm broke and humbled.
To celebrate this considerable milestone, I collected some of my favorite images with a folk art connection... photos I have collected over the years, a large number of Real Photo Postcards AND a few photographs I have personally taken over the years...and published them all in my third Dull Tool Dim Bulb Book. In Situ: American Folk Art in Place. All show eccentric backyard artists, craftsmen, visionaries and such...Some have been published on Dull Tool Dim Bulb, others not. Like all the books I publish, a modest little thing, but like I say, "all killer, no filler" and since I have no real distribution, they'll likely be collector items over the years. One prominent curator of a New York Museum told me "they already are!" and I was quite pleased. So response has been good, even if the books don't sell much. They're expensive in a day and age when the book is obsolete...so let's call them throwbacks.
There is a link Dull Tool Dim Bulb Books here, or you can click on the IT logo above. Books are expensive...so I make sure to include all the text material in the free preview which you can browse, no obligation. It isn't about money anyway. Should you wish to purchase, you can do so there. I get about the cost of one postcard on ebay per book sold, so don't fear making me happier...the quality of my posts should remain about the same.
THANKS
